Long Time No Read

In a medium-sized neighbourhood of a larger town, in one of the smaller countries of the second smallest continent of the only human-life sustainable planet in the vicinity of the yellow dwarf known as the Sun, a young painter takes a look around his new living room. "A few paintings on the east wall and it will be done". It has been quite some weeks since he had any time to paint, for after all his antics with the royal house months ago his life changed dramatically. A new job as a teacher in a school nearby, and even a job as an architect, had not done anything in the form of tranquility for the young man. His life had been in shambles, and as he went along picking up the pieces, he found that he had no time for his projects. His one painting every day idea had not worked, and although he was annoyed by the fact that it didn't work out, he at least was grateful for all the extra time he had now to spend. After all, two new jobs are not the easiest thing to juggle, especially not when you are terrible at juggling. This did mean disappointing quite a lot of people (or at least a lot of people to this young painter) and himself. Well at least the people were asking about his paintings, which meant a great deal to the painter. He decided to give everyone what they wanted, continue the painting, only not one a day, but instead several a month. This way he would still be painting next to teaching, and would sometimes enjoy some people with his work (at least he would hope so).

Day 68 - Wintertime?

Wintertime gives us some nice views and I have been trying to capture it somewhat over the last few days. This was the first I shot, of course with the iPhone for I was on my way to practise. To me it captures the snowy feeling quite well...
What do you think?
Let me know.

Cheers

Day 66 - Derby Time

It probably takes you one or two seconds to see what this photo is all about. Well it's about volleyball...
I play volleyball (not to wonderfully though) in my hometown and have made some pretty good friends there and one of those asked me to take some shots of her (their) match against the #2 in line (them being the #1).
A nice derby to be sure, plus an excellent excuse for me to try out Volleyball Photography.

Day 65 - Evil Teddy

I saw, I lit, I shot.... That is, in short, what happened here. Or better maybe, I lit, I saw, I shot... New lights have to be tried out asap and I got a few new ones this week. After aiming one at wall for a little bit I decided to aim at this substitute for a model... Read on after the jump >>

Fact or Fiction?

Dear Readers,

I understand I have let some of you down in the last couple of weeks or so. The radio silence was so utterly complete that some even believed me to have emigrated to the far regions of Sumatra where others believed me dead. Well that wasn't the case....
Most of you who know me know that I went through a rough spot and that updating this site was the last thing on my mind.
A lot of that has been sorted out and it feels like time to pick up where I left those 36 days ago.
Yes ladies and gentlemen, it has been 36 days of silence on this site (well Vermeer's Birthday being the exception)
I have been taking photos every day for the last month and most are even worthy of putting up here, which is something I will be doing today.
I will be updating as many as I can with no or only some words to keep the photos warm and secure.

All in all, I'm back and from tomorrow on there will be a post every day :D

Cheers for reading my blog...

Days 28 -> 64 - Hipstamatic Overload

This is what I would call a Hipstamatic overload. During the last few weeks I did not have my camera around at all to make any photos. Luckily I did always have my iPhone with me (life line to the world) so I have shot a lot of pics with Hipstamatic. I do understand of course that it is a lot of the same thing. Well you will have to learn to deal with it....... *smile*
From tomorrow on there will be a lot less Hipsta photos and a great deal more regular and flash photos.
